Bathing Your Silicone Animal

Before reading this guide please note that when bathing the chubby pigs, hedgehogs, rabbits, elephants, cows and ponies in this way, we recommend being extremely careful due to the hair and paint.

Make sure to have a bath or sink ready with water, a little comb or brush, baby powder, a clean make up brush, cotton buds/q-tips and a towel ready. You can purchase our Electric Bath & Exclusive Aftercare Set to help with this process.

1. Put your silicone animal into the water making sure it does not get in their eyes.

2. Wet their body by rubbing your hand over them to remove dirt and dust and always rub your hand in the direction the hair is rooted so in this case from the top of the head all the way down to the bottom.

3. Once this is done, you can use a tiny bit of soap and do the same thing you just did with your hands and then the same again to remove the soap.

4. Get them out and put them in a towel. Pat them dry, DO NOT RUB THEM.

5. Using a cotton bud/q-tip go around the creases of them to ensure that there is no trapped water, this is best for the eyes and mouth just incase some went in there.

5. Once this is done, lay them on their back and sprinkle them with a tiny bit of baby powder. Using the clean make up brush, rub the powder using circular motions all over their bare ‘skin’. This will stop them from becoming sticky for a long while.

6. Brush the hair in the direction that it is rooted which is from the face all the way down to the bottom of their back legs.

7. Your silicone animal is now clean and ready to go on more adventures!

Remember to always ask an adult for help. Silicone is one of the most fragile materials in which is why they have to be looked after as if you are taking care of a real animal. This is to ensure they keep their original look and last for the many years that you will love them for.
