GPSR REGULATIONS IN EUROPE

On December 13th 2024, the EU will introduce the GPSR (General Product Safety Regulation) The advice on what to do has been vague and unclear regarding these new terms & conditions and is set to cause issues for small businesses who send their goods to the EU and Northern Ireland.

The new regulation requires all businesses (including small, handmade and/or independent businesses) to have a representative within the EU who acts on their behalf regarding product safety. This can be a costly process and will take time to put into place.

Until a workable solution is found that is within the new regulations & affordable to our small business, we are afraid that we will need to make some changes to our delivery options for the foreseeable future. We have made the difficult decision to temporarily stop accepting orders from the EU from today. Outstanding orders will be not be affected as we can get these sent before the rule comes into place.

Please rest assured that we are working hard to be able to find a suitable and affordable option that will allow us to restart sending orders to the EU. We are so sorry to our EU customers who are disappointed by this news. We hope to get this issue resolved in the new year.

Please note that this does not affect the whole of England, Scotland & Wales and countries outside of Europe.

Lots of love, The Loula’s Team x
